Covid-19 Update 03.17.2020 3:20 PM:

This afternoon, the Governor has issued a new mandate. Effective Tuesday March 17, 2020, at 5:00 PM groups must be less than 10 people. As such, there will be no Wednesday midweek Lent services tomorrow, Wednesday March 18, 2020. The next possible worship service will not be until Maundy Thursday.
However, we will continue to be a presence in your daily life via social media. As I mentioned before, I will do a midweek Lent message on Wednesdays as well as continuing to live stream a worship service on Sunday mornings at 8:30am (You may access those anytime on our Facebook page). I will also be livestreaming a Bible verse of the day and prayer each morning. I would like to encourage you to make that a part of each day and to engage in Christian Fellowship by feeling free to leave messages after the morning video. I will try to respond to each of them throughout the day.

Covid-19 Update 03.17.2020:

Dear Friends in Christ,

In response to the Governor’s mandate made on Monday, of no gatherings of 50 people or more; and President Trump’s announcement of no more than 10, the Church Council met in an emergency session.

At that meeting it was decided that following this week’s 11am and 7pm Midweek Lent services, all onsite worship services will be suspended until we receive further instructions and the guidelines allow for more people to gather safely.

However, at times like these, it is not prudent for us to distance ourselves from God. As such, we will continue to do our Facebook live streams at 8:30 Sunday morning. My thanks to Jim and Sue Schwiebert for assisting me with music. If you are not able to watch at 8:30, you are able to go onto the Our Redeemer page and access the services at any time. I will also provide some sort of midweek message.

It is very important, that you continue with your weekly offering and pledges. The church will continue to have bills and employees to pay. We cannot do that without your generous giving. Please investigate ways of electronically giving as an alternative to placing your envelope in the plate. There are options such as our Simply Giving program, as well as electronically though your bank. Or simply put a stamp on the envelope and mail it to the church office. These are very unusual and ever changing times. Your generosity is greatly appreciated.

Finally, “How long is this going to last?” I wish I had an answer for you, but I don’t. Wouldn’t it be nice to be able to once again have the Church spring forth on Easter Sunday!! While that can be our hope for the Church, truly our Hope in the Resurrection is ongoing. We will make it through this time period. Your church remains. Your pastor is here in your time of need. And your Savior Jesus Christ, is our ever present Rock upon which we stand.

In His Grip!!
