Purpose

The purpose of the Ladies Society/LWML (Lutheran Women's Missionary League) of Our Redeemer Lutheran Church is to:

  • Further Christian fellowship
  • Perform works of Christian service
  • Cooperate with the ministry of the congregation
  • Support the work of the Lutheran Women's Missionary League

Responsibilities

Provide service and volunteer opportunities within the congregation and community (i.e. serving at funeral fellowship meals, coordinating congregation dinners, quilting for Lutheran World Relief and community needs, providing volunteers monthly for the Bethesda Thrift Store, raising funds to support congregation needs, supporting church-at-large missions.)

Time Requirements

One meeting per month (1:30 p.m - 3:00 p.m.) First Thursday of the month January - May and September - December. Meetings feature devotions, Bible studies, programs, business meeting and fellowship and refreshments. January May and October meetings feature the work of the Lutheran Women's Missionary League (LWML).

Additional time may be volunteered as an officer of the organization, or committee person. Members of the organization may offer volunteer help for any of the actvities involving the organization as they have time and ability to serve.

This organization is open to all women of the congregation. Members pay $10.00 per year dues. All women may be involved in any of the service and volunteer opportunties of the Ladies Society.
